LFE2M50E-P4-EVN Overview



The Lattice model LFE2M50E-P4-EVN is a development kit that contains the LatticeECP2M FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) with a capacity of 50K LUTs (Look-Up Tables). The development kit supports 1Gbit DDR2 SDRAM memory, FPGA configuration via JTAG interface or directly through a USB cable. It also includes a set of user I/Os (Input/Output), digital and analog signals, as well as memory interfaces that allow designers to evaluate Lattice’s ECP2M FPGA architecture and develop their own applications.


The ECP2M FPGA architecture is designed for high-performance, low-power applications in the communication, computing, industrial and military markets. It provides a high-speed interconnect system that allows designers to implement complex digital signal processing algorithms, including filters, image processing, and wireless communication protocols, with low latency and high throughput. The ECP2M FPGA also incorporates a low-power transceiver that supports several high-speed serial communication protocols, such as Gigabit Ethernet, PCI Express or Serial RapidIO, which make it ideal for networking and data center applications.


The LFE2M50E-P4-EVN development kit is suitable for engineers, designers, and developers to evaluate and develop applications with Lattice’s ECP2M FPGA architecture. With the built-in memory interfaces and the onboard user I/Os, designers can easily interface with peripherals and develop their applications quickly. The kit supports Lattice’s Radiant software development tools, which provide a complete design flow, including Synthesis, Simulation, Optimization for Timing and Power, Place-and-Route, and FPGA programming.
